Why it helps

My Account is the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) online service for individuals. You can see your tax returns, notices of assessment, benefit payments such as the GST/HST credit and the Canada child benefit, and update your address.

What you need

  • Your Social Insurance Number (SIN).
  • Your date of birth and current postal code.
  • A way for the CRA to confirm who you are. This can be an amount from a tax return you filed. If you have not filed yet, the CRA offers other ways, such as checking your identity through a partner bank or with government photo ID. The sign-in page lists the options open to you.

Stay safe

The CRA will not ask for payment by gift card or cryptocurrency, and will not threaten you with arrest by phone or text. If a message seems wrong, sign in to your account yourself instead of using a link.
